In total we have 7 rooms available. The lodge has 5 rooms and at the lower Villa we have another 2 rooms. These last 2 rooms are only available on request or for larger travelling groups. In total we are able to accommodate groups up to 16 guests.
All our rooms are named after flowers related to the Protea family, of which, the King Protea is the national flower of South Africa. The genus Protea was named in 1735 by Carolus Linnaeus after the Greek god Proteus who could change his form at will. The flower was named after him because they have such different forms. The flowers have their own characteristics, though they have their family similarities. Our rooms are all set up in the same style, yet have different decorations and colours, just like the Protea flowers.
Besides the Protea, South Africa is also famous for another plant growing in the fynbos vegetation. The plant is used to make an herbal tea and is called Rooibos. The rooibos tea has been popular in Southern Africa for generations and is now consumed in many countries. Our fabulous complimentary toiletries have the scent of this famous plant and are a refreshing delight in your bathroom.
